Well, summer break has been alright so far. Just mostly playing video games, babysitting, and drawing. I've been trying to find things to do to go out more, though, so that's when I found out about the Asian Festival in Dallas.
It was a pretty small event, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It was interesting to see all the different songs and dances the Asian cultures had to offer. The ones I liked the most where the Filipino ones, since they reminded me of Mexican music and dances. One dance in particular caught my interest, as I had seen something similar to it on an episode of Malcolm in the Middle a long time ago (

I wish I could have taken photos and videos, since they also had singers and martial arts demonstrations, but I didn't have a decent camera. :T
My friend did get to record part of the small parade they had, however.

Here it is:

Anyway, I'm considering going again next year, as I did enjoy myself. Plus, I'll be sure to have money to try out each culture's main dish, lol.
But moving on from that, A-Kon 24 is in two weeks! I'm really excited for it.
And severely unprepared. Dl
I haven't planned out anything for it, and I haven't even bothered looking to see where the hotel is, much less its layout. I'm really bad with these kinds of things, argh. But, for sure when it comes around, I'll have everything down.
I'm going broke, as usual, so I'm just going to be taking lots of pictures. Need to borrow a camera, though.
And I really wish I could cosplay, but there's always next year. As I always tell myself, lol. Hopefully I can next year, and if so, I would love to go as an assassin.

If anyone would like pics of specific cosplays, you can leave comments with requests and I'll do my best to keep an eye out for them.
Argh, A-Kon can't come fast enough!
Hope the new hotel allows for more things to go down. c:
